SISTALAND Festival 2026 FAQ

8

When is the Festival?

1

SISTALAND 2026 takes place Friday 10th - Sunday 12th July 2026.

Camping opens from 6pm on Thursday 9 July, giving you time to settle in, meet your neighbours and ease into the weekend before the programme begins Friday morning.

Where is this year’s Festival?

2

We’re heading to Chew Valley Lake in Somerset.

Think open skies, lakeside air and room to breathe! Just outside Bristol, but far enough away to feel like a proper summer escape to your ultimate SISTALAND camp!

Is this a networking event or a festival?

3

It’s a festival built for creatives who are done with awkward drinks receptions.

Across three days, the conversations unfold naturally. You’ll hear powerful panels by day and build real relationships by night - under festoon lights, not fluorescent lighting.

Is camping included in my festival ticket?

4

No, camping must be booked separately as an add-on.

Who is this for?

5

SISTALAND Festival is for women, trans women and non-binary creatives navigating the film and creative industries - whether you’re established, just starting out, pivoting careers, freelancing alone, returning after motherhood, rebuilding confidence, or simply searching for people who understand what it feels like to build a creative life in an industry that often feels inaccessible and overwhelming.

It’s for people craving honest conversations, meaningful connection, creative inspiration and practical support - without the gatekeeping, surface-level networking or pressure to pretend everything’s fine.

My creative career is just starting — is this for me?

6

Yes!

SISTALAND isn’t about how long you’ve been in the industry. It’s about where you’re headed.

Whether you’re just starting out or finding your footing, you’ll leave with clarity, connection and the confidence to take your next step.

Everyone starts somewhere. You just don’t have to do it alone.

Is there any support to attend?

What does a Sunday Day Pass include
+ What time can I arrive?

We will release a limited number of bursary tickets for our Sistas experiencing financial barriers.

Because SISTALAND is independently run, these are capped, but they are there intentionally.

Alongside this, we run a Pay It Forward scheme, where members of our community can contribute towards supporting someone else’s ticket. Every contribution goes directly back into making SISTALAND more accessible.

If cost is a barrier, please email festival@sistaland.co with a short note about your circumstances. We’ll help where we can.

Access to Sunday’s talks, panels, workshops, screenings, wellbeing spaces, traders, food vendors, and all Sunday festival programming.

Sunday Day Pass holders can arrive from 9am onwards on Sunday 12 July. Sunday Day Passes are daytime access only and do not include camping or overnight accommodation.
