Varta is a Ukrainian filmmaker, artist and Sustainability Coordinator at A24. She arrived in the UK in 2022 after fleeing the war in Ukraine, rebuilding her life from scratch.

Since then, she has completed an MA in Film with Distinction, created an award-winning documentary screened internationally, including at the BFI London Film Festival, and continues to explore storytelling as a force for survival and change.

Her work is rooted in resilience, reinvention and the belief that creativity doesn’t just express life, it can save it.
